Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS)

Arizona’s Medicaid program
There are several AHCCCS programs available for children under age 19. AHCCCS Care, KidsCare, SOBRA for Children and Arizona Long Term Care are programs that aid children. Young Adult Transitional Insurance (YATI) aids young adults under the age of 21.


Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD)

The Arizona Department of Economic Security/ Division of Developmental Disabilities provides needed supports to people who meet the following eligibility requirements.
• Is a resident of the state of Arizona
• Voluntarily applies
• Is at risk of having a developmental disability (up to age 6) or
• For people over the age of 6 years, has a diagnosis of
o epilepsy,
o cerebral palsy,
o cognitive disability or
o autism
• The disability occurred prior to the age of 18 and
• Has substantial functional limitations in 3 of the 7 major life areas.


Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS)

The Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) program is for aged (65 and over), blind, or disabled individuals who need ongoing services at a nursing facility level of care. 


Arizona Early Intervention Program

The Arizona Early Intervention Program, also known as AzEIP (pronounced Ay-zip), is a statewide system of supports and services for families of children, birth to 3, with disabilities or developmental delays.

Office of Children With Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN)

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS)/Office for Children with Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN) provides leadership, policy, direction, and administration to promote a system of care for children up to age 21. OCSHCN uses Title V funding to provide services to the entire population of children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN). Title V services include advocacy, information and referral, promoting best practices among providers, community partners and other child serving agencies through training and education.


Childrens Rehabilitative Services (CRS)

CRS is administered by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Office for Children with Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN). Providing family-centered medical treatment, rehabilitation, and related support services to enrolled individuals who have certain medical, handicapping, or potentially handicapping conditions.


Office of Childcare Licensing

The Division of Licensing Services Office of Child Care Licensing regulates and monitors licensed child care facilities, public school child care programs and certified child care group homes statewide.

MilitaryK12Partners website: STOMP (Specialized Training of Military Parents), the OSEP-funded PTI for military families across the country:

MilitaryK12Partners offers resources, like Special Education Modules, to assist schools that serve military families. Students at the Center, an educational resource that provides information on important policies, procedures and best practices is also located on the site, as well as links to many resources developed by other government and non-government agencies.http://www.stompproject.org/.
